The Destination Des Moines Waterland Parade, proudly sanctioned by Seafair, is one of our community's most cherished traditions - and it's back to dazzle once again! Each year, hundreds of spectators gather to experience the vibrant spectacle featuring colorful floats, high-energy marching bands, the legendary Seafair Pirates, whimsical clowns, sparkling boats, and so much more.

The festivities begin with the adorable Children's parade at 5:45pm, followed by the show-stopping Grande Parade as it winds through the heart of Des Moines - from 7th Ave S & S 227th to Des Moines City Hall on 11th Ave S, lighting up Marine View Drive S with excitement, joy, and community spirit.

Kids, it's your time to shine! Grab your friends, put on your brightest smiles, and come be a part of the Junior Parade - the perfect kickoff to an amazing day of Waterland fun!

Dress up, decorate your bikes, wagons, or strollers, and show off your creative spirit as you march through the heart of Des Moines! Whether you're a superhero, a princess, a pirate, or anything you can dream up - everyone's a star in the Junior Parade!
